Storm Related Info

Storm Related Information:
Grant Valley is doing our best to clear townships roads & make them again assessable but as you are aware, the damage is widespread & affects us all.

Our present policy is that we first make sure the thoroughfare ( through roads) are opened up & passable by removing all downed trees that are across the roads. Next, the roads in developments are opened up & again the trees lying across & blocking the township roads are removed.

If you have a downed tree across the township road & have helped by either cutting it or moving it, please place it along the side of the road or within the ditch.

The township has no resources or funds available to remove trees & debris from individual homeowners & will not be doing so.
Should the County’s request to be declared a Federal Disaster, that may change.
In the meantime, it is the homeowners responsibility to dispose of all downed trees & debris.

We ask that you be patient with us as we work to get travel restored. We are all in this together & experiencing much destruction but trying to overcome all the obstacles in front of us.

We ask also that you understand that phone calls & text messages may not be returned immediately & may take 48 hours. We do appreciate your help in notifying us of any missed areas.
